Progression Expectations for HFC

0

Tippers,

With the launch of Hellfire Citadel we have found ourselves in an "old world" type or raiding progression model. We have discovered that HFC's encounters are more severely time-gated than those in BRF or HM, and because of this we need to begin to institute performance requirements if we are to stay competitive in the raiding community on Zuluhed.

As of this post, our current progression has put us in a position to require all DPS roles to be pulling an average of 30k+ dps on boss encounters. If a DPS role is unable to meet this benchmark, then they will be asked to step out once we start running in to encounters where hard DPS gear-points need to be met. At this point ilvl really doesn't determine your performance grade.

For the raid as a whole, if any player is struggling to execute fight mechanics repeatedly, that player will also be asked to step out.

If at any point you are asked to step out, please remember that it is nothing personal. This early in HFC where the progression style is not so forgiving, we just simply do not have the capacity to carry under performing raiders. All of our encounters are being logged to WarcraftLogs and we encourage every raider to go through them and observe their own performance. We need to get back in to the habit of asking ourselves "where must I improve to better the team".

I personally love the semi-hardcore mentality to raiding as it tends to be a whole hell of a lot more fun... but we've lost some of the hardcore end of the equation, and frankly, we need to put a little more of that hardcore back in.
